A Company Tracker watches a set of companies and people for you and reports relevant changes in the Feed : news, posts, hiring, funding, and job changes. Use it for accounts you want to reach at the right moment, not for a one time list.

If you chose to track target accounts when you signed up, a tracker called Target accounts already exists. It is set up automatically once your company's signal settings are ready, usually within an hour after you finish the setup guide.
A tracker with no companies yet offers Add company and Import file / Add source. Add company opens a search: find the company and add it, or enter its name, website and LinkedIn page yourself. Once the tracker has companies, the same search opens from Add Company above the table.
In the tracker's signal settings you define:
A new tracker starts with the settings from the Signal Scoring page. After that, each tracker keeps its own settings. See Configure signal scoring.
Under Signal Scoring Intervals, you set how often a company is scanned for each priority: Check Priority 1 (every 2 weeks by default), Check Priority 2 (every month) and Check Priority 3 (every 2 months).
The priority comes from your lead scoring:
Signal Check Mode decides when the scans happen:
Next to each company name, a badge shows its score: C1, C2 or C3 for its company score, DQ for a disqualified company, ? when it could not be classified, and a clock while scoring is still running. Hover the badge to see why:
![]()
Click the badge to change the company's category: choose a Company category, add a Reason for change, and click Save.
The Signal column of the tracker shows each company's latest signal. A company without one shows where its scan stands:
To scan several companies at once, select them in the table and click Run signal search in the bar at the bottom. With Select all, every company of the tracker is scanned, not only the page you see.
Signalist always asks first and shows the cost (2 credits per company). If your balance does not cover the search, nothing starts. A search is charged only once it has run. A search you start yourself does not wait for the scan interval.
When a Priority 1–3 signal arrives for a company where the tracker knows nobody, its row shows Select prospect, so you can pick someone yourself. Signalist can also find a person for you:
![]()
For each such signal, Signalist searches once: first among your own contacts at the company, then in the people database, then with web research. The person found replaces the Select prospect row, is added to the company's tracked people, and is marked found automatically. From then on they are handled like any lead added to the list: their contact details are looked up and campaign rules apply.
The row shows where the search stands:
![]()
Signalist searches only when a signal arrives, never on a timer. A row you excluded or assigned to a campaign is not searched.
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Signal scan | 2 per company per scan, including one person, plus 0.1 for each additional person |
| Find a person (only with Find person switched on) | 1 per company searched, whether or not someone is found |
Because the tracker repeats, its cost grows with the number of companies and the scan interval. Start with a small set of accounts and a longer interval, then expand. Lower-priority companies are scanned less often, so they cost less. See How credits are consumed.
Signalist also notices when a tracked person changes employer or role, by checking their LinkedIn profile.
New signals appear in the Feed, one card per company. Tracked Profiles in the Feed lists every company you track. From a card, reach out, set it aside, ignore it for this round, or stop tracking the company. See Process your daily Signal Feed.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| No signals yet | A new tracker needs its first scan. Check that the tracker is running and has companies in it, or click Run signal search on a company to scan it now. |
| Many signals are not relevant | Sharpen the Deep Research Prompt and the Priority Definitions, and add examples of what is Disqualified. |
| The tracker costs more than expected | Reduce the number of companies or people, or scan less often under Check Priority 1, Check Priority 2 and Check Priority 3. |
| A company is scanned less often than expected | Its company score, or the lead score of the tracked person, puts it on a slower interval. Check the score in the list, or shorten that priority's interval. |
| Rows were skipped when uploading | Use Download skipped rows, add the missing LinkedIn or website URLs, and upload again. |
| Run signal search is not shown | The tracker's signals are not set up yet. Set them up in the tracker's signal settings first. |
| A lead you added appears only as a company | The entry has no person, for example "Person not found". Only its company is tracked. |
| A company shows DQ although it is not a competitor | Hover the badge. If your lead scoring disqualified it, the card names the criterion under Disqualified by. Adjust that criterion under Lead Scoring if it should not disqualify. |
| A signal row stays on Select prospect | The row says why: Find person is off for this list, Not searched automatically (credits or plan), or Person not found. Switch on Find person, check your credits, or pick the person yourself. |
The Feed shows what your trackers found: news, posts, and changes at the companies and people you track, sorted into cards per company. Work through it regularly and decide for each card: reach out now, look again later, or ignore it.
Signal scoring decides which events at your tracked companies count as signals and how strong each one is. You describe what to look for, how to sort what is found, and what makes a signal Priority 1, 2, or 3, or not relevant at all.
