The Knowledge Base tells the AI what you sell, to whom, and why it matters. Signalist builds a first version for you from your answers and your website. Review it, correct what is wrong, and approve it, because your AI messages and research draw on it.
In the setup guide, the step Create Knowledge Base asks you to confirm four things: your products, the pain points you solve, your value proposition, and references or case studies. Signalist adds context from your website and builds the Knowledge Base in the background.
If the build fails, the setup guide shows "Your Knowledge Base could not be built." with a Try again button. When colleagues you invite go through their own setup guide, your existing Knowledge Base is left as it is.
Open Knowledge Database in the sidebar. The page has four tabs:
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Pain Points & Value Propositions | Per company segment and persona: the ICP profile, pain points, current solutions, market trends, obstacles, opportunities, and your features, benefits, and differentiation. |
| Products & Services | Each product with its description, key features, target segments, competitive differentiation, and pricing and positioning. |
| Case Studies | Project name, goals, what you did, the outcome, and a quote. |
| Objection Handling | Common objections and how to answer them. |
In the first tab, choose the segment and persona on the left. Filter with All Segments, AI-drafted only, or Approved only to see what still needs a look.

Every section shows its status: AI (written by the AI, not yet checked), Draft, or Approved.
The sidebar shows an orange dot while AI-written content is waiting for review.
Good to know: the AI prefers approved content, but it can also use sections that are not approved yet. So correct wrong content as soon as you see it, rather than just leaving it unapproved.
In Products & Services, pick a product on the left. Each of its text sections, Description, Key Features / Capabilities, Competitive Differentiation, and Pricing & Positioning, has an Edit button.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Your Knowledge Base could not be built." | Click Try again in the setup guide. If it fails again, contact support. |
| Messages mention an outdated product or claim | Correct or delete it in Products & Services or the relevant section. |
| A product's key features are wrong | Click Edit on Key Features / Capabilities, correct the list, and click Save. |
| Case studies are missing | Add them with Add Case Study, or switch on Auto-update with your website or document URL. |
| A segment has no content | Check that the segment exists in Lead Scoring; its section appears in the first tab. |
Signalist's AI writes your messages from what it knows about the lead, your company, and your rules. You shape the result in four places: the Copywriting page, your personal copywriting settings, the Templates page, and AI snippets inside a message.
Write Deep Research prompts around a decision: qualify an account, verify a signal, identify the relevant role, or find a factual conversation angle. A focused prompt produces more useful results than an open ended request to research everything.
Every scored lead gets one grade: P1 , P2 , P3 , DQ , or ? . The grade says how well the lead fits the companies and people you defined under Lead Scoring . It is calculated from points, so you can always trace why a lead got its grade.
