The free Signalist browser extension puts your lead panel right inside LinkedIn. On a profile you see whether the person is already in Signalist, their score and your history with them, and you can add them to a list or campaign without switching tabs.
The extension is available for Chrome and Microsoft Edge:
You can also install it from the setup guide step Add leads straight from LinkedIn, which links to the right store for your browser.
There is no separate login. Log in to Signalist at app.signalist.io in the same browser, and the extension picks up your session. If you log out of Signalist, the panel shows "Log in to Signalist to see lead details." with an Open Signalist button.
Click the extension's icon in the browser toolbar to see its status: whether your Signalist account and LinkedIn are connected.
Open any profile on LinkedIn or Sales Navigator. A pill appears next to the person's name, for example + Add to Signalist, In Signalist, In active campaign, or Connected on LinkedIn. Click it to open the panel.

If the person is already in Signalist, you see the same lead panel as in the app: score, contact details, Research, Timeline, and your conversations in Chat. From Add to you can add the lead to a list, a campaign, the Profile Tracker, or your CRM. The ⋮ menu offers Update record (0.2 credits, charged only when the person's LinkedIn profile was read), Unsubscribe, and Open in Signalist.

If the person is not in Signalist yet, click Add to Signalist. This costs 1 credit, or nothing if Signalist already enriched the person in the last 30 days. You can also search for an email address (1 credit) or phone number (10 credits) right there.

On a LinkedIn people search, a Sales Navigator search, or an event page, the panel offers to import the results:
Each imported lead is enriched, at 1 credit per lead. In Sales Navigator search results, each row also gets an + Import button for single leads.
On any page that is not a profile, the panel shows your Inbox, new leads, leads to re-engage, and open issues, with Find leads and Create a new list below.

Find leads searches for people By name, By search filters (company domains, job title, seniority, department, location, and more), or By LinkedIn URL. Previewing results is free. Select people and click Add to to put them on a list.
On websites other than LinkedIn, the panel stays collapsed to a small Signalist tab at the edge of the screen. If you open Find leads there, the website's domain is already filled in as the company to search.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The panel asks you to log in | Log in to Signalist at app.signalist.io in the same browser, then reload the LinkedIn page. |
| "Browser is logged into a different LinkedIn account." | The LinkedIn account in this browser is not the one connected to Signalist. Log in to the right account, or reconnect. |
| "Couldn't load Signalist data." | Click Retry. If it keeps happening, reload the page. |
| "This page doesn't identify the lead." | Open the person's LinkedIn profile, not a post or a list. |
| "Not enough credits to import this lead." | Your workspace is out of credits. See How credits are consumed. |
| Update record says "Not enough credits to update this record." | Your balance is below 0.2 credits, so nothing was fetched and the record is unchanged. Add credits, then choose Update record again. See How credits are consumed. |
| Update record says "Couldn't start the update. Try again." | The update could not be started. Choose Update record again. |
| The panel does not appear at all | Check that the extension is enabled in your browser, then reload the page. |
This walkthrough gets you from a new workspace to your first reviewed leads. It stops before anything is sent: finding and scoring leads is safe to try, and sending stays a separate, deliberate step.
Before your team sends anything, three things need to be right: who can use the workspace, who is allowed to send, and which LinkedIn and email accounts are connected. This article shows where each is set.
Clear responsibility helps prevent duplicate outreach, missed replies, unsafe activation, and unclear decisions. If your team uses lists, campaigns, trackers, or replies without named owners, it becomes easy for the same person to be contacted twice, for a campaign to be activated without a final check, or for replies to sit unanswered.
